My Performing Timeline

1981 -1985  St. Mary’s Church of England School, Choir, Byfleet, Surrey

                Local performances within Byfleet Village.

                Christmas Concert at Royal Albert Hall - Choral - ‘Christmas Cantata’ by

                 Honegger.

1986          Choir at Secondary School, performed at Harvest Festival.

1987          Part of chorus in School Production Bugsy Malone.

1988          Sang Solo piece ‘Bright Eyes’ from film Watership Down, as part of Talent

                 Spotting Contest on school trip to Austria.  Came joint first.

1990          Started Training.

                Solo piece ‘Skye Boat Song,’ at Knaphill Methodist Church, Surrey

                Chorus work in Pantomime, Dick Whittington.

                Solo piece ‘Memory’ from Cats at local concert

                Various concerts.

1993          Catherine’s (my sister) Wedding.  Two solo pieces ‘Make me a Channel of

                 Your Peace’ and ‘I lift up Mine Eyes to the Hills’. I was also Bridesmaid

                Joined St. Mary’s Church Choir.

 

1994          Solos at Church.

                Grade 3 Singing Exam.  Pass Mark  108.

1995          One of the Narrators for ‘Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat’.

                Grade 4 Singing Exam   Pass Mark  120 - Merit.

  

1996          Autumn Concert in St. Mary’s Church Hall.  Solo piece, ‘I wandered Lonely

                 as a Cloud,’ based on  Tennyson’s poem, to the tune of ‘Secret Love’ from

                 Calamity Jane.  Duet with my mother - variation of ‘Brush up Your

                 Shakespeare’ from Kiss Me Kate.

                Duet, ‘El-Shaddai’ with a friend,  another duet , descant version of ‘Rose,    rose, rose, red.’ ‘Our Poor Bird!!’

                Simon’s (my brother) Wedding.  Two solo pieces, ‘Make Me a Channel of

                 Your Peace,’ and ‘The Love I have for you, My Lord.’  Evening     performance of ‘Congratulations.’

1997          Duet with a friend and guitar accompaniment ‘Abba Father’.

                Sang with Choir up in Oulton Broad, Suffolk, in practice only.

                Had nose operation.

1998          Duet, ‘Mary Had a Little Lamb,’ with Music Teacher at Oakfield School, Surrey. Led Singing in Nursery Section.  

                 My niece, Kerensa’s Christening Party.  Solo, ‘It’s Time to say Goodnight.’, Unaccompanied.

Another friend’s Wedding.  Solo, ‘Make Me a Channel of Your Peace.’

2001          My older nephew, Michael’s Christening.  Solo, ‘Morning Has Broken.’

2002          Mum and Dad’s Ruby Wedding Anniversary Celebrations.  Solos, ‘When I

                 Fall in Love,’ ‘Young At Heart,’ and ‘Just the Way You Are.’, unaccompanied.

  

2003          My nephew, Alec’s Christening.  Solo, ‘Morning Has Broken.’

                Joined Byfleet Methodist Church Choir.

2004          Joined Epworth Choir briefly.  Sang Messiah at Guildford Cathedral and    performed at the New Victoria

Theatre in Woking, Surrey.

                Woodbank Care Home solos.

                My 30th Birthday Celebrations, two duets with my Singing Teacher.  ‘All

                 Through the Night’ and ‘Sisters’ from the film White Christmas.

2005          Left Epworth Choir.  Rejoined Byfleet Methodist Church Choir.
